| Hyper Text Markup Language is just that. A text markup language. This is the godfather of the Internet, ushering in the new age that we now live in. Having served up trillions of pages to the public over the past decade, it is in it's waning years, but is still a solid reliable method for building basic websites. Although HTML has some limitations (you can not do any "programming" in it), it is still a great way to display basic website information. It is only when you get into dynamically generated pages, multimedia features, advanced security or database connected interactions that you need to begin to look elsewhere.
